![]() Ha, an Arkansas court summoned a dog to testify in a murder trial! The prosecutor realized his mistake when the four-legged witness tried to enter the court. Oops. Turns out prosecutors subpoened everyone that the defendant, Albert Kieth Smith, wrote to while in jail. The defendant wrote to a "Murphy Smith," who was actually his dog. Albert Smith is accused of killing his ex-wife's boyfriend, David Howard, who she met off the Internet. It's not the first time Smith allegedly wrote a strange letter. Authorities say Smith tried to frame his wife's other Internet boyfriend by writing to the county prosecutor: "Herbert Hawkins killed David Howard." Nice. Real nice. Sadly, Court TV will not tape this trial. posted by Jessica at 10:13 PM | 1 comments Personally, I'm thrilled that Court TV is not carrying this one - the victim is my father. |
