Thoughts, links, and randomness galore!

Oh me of little faith

The panic attack came out of the blue -- and left almost as quickly too.

On Oct. 14 I was sitting at work, and I realized I was in danger of zeroing out my bank account. I had purchased two plane tickets in the same credit card billing cycle, and rent was due in about 10 days. Plus, I hadn't gotten paid for almost a month because of a payroll glitch. HR claimed that I didn't turn in my time sheet on time. But I turn in my sheets every Friday, and they're due Mondays. Grrr.

I needed money stat, but my parents were leaving the next day for a two-week vacation. What if I couldn't contact them in time? I was going to accumulate credit card debt or have one one of my checks bounce. I begged God to drop money from the sky.

Just as I was whining to God, someone came by my desk to drop off my paycheck. My CHECK! Yes! It came a day early. I ravenously tore it open and noticed the balance was bigger than usual. Fine. I had two billing cycles on this check. Upon looking closer though, I realized I had gotten a raise.

Thank you God! Whenever I curse You, You gently remind me that You provide.

Jess,

I jst wanted you to knw that I am borrowing this qoute:

Thank you God! Whenever I curse You, You gently remind me that You provide.

I'm in a small study group at church doing Purpose Driven Life and this quote fits in very nicely to some of the discussions we have had. in fact, last week, we were talking about unanswered prayers and the such.
